Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can participate in a variety of activities throughout the year. Many events and programs provide learning experiences and resources to fulfill badge requirements.

  2. Nature Research Center : Visit one of the guided learning areas
    1. The Naturalist Center - Explore an extensive hands-on collection of specimens including birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, insects, plants, fossils, minerals and more.

  4. Prairie Ridge Ecostation: Visit the museum’s offsite field station
  5. Open Minds: Teen Science Café - On the First Friday of every month from October – April, middle and high school youth are invited to hear a scientist speak about his or her research, do a hands-on activity related to the topic, ask the scientist questions, and meet other teens who enjoy science. This is a great opportunity to meet experts from a variety of scientific disciplines.
